Slave Mentality and Eurocentrism: Here and There and Everywhere

Quentin, I read your article on Eurocentrism. I hope others will read it as well, and will share their thoughts with us. I am sure that many wonder why you are so aggressively fighting Eurocentrism here in the United States. I admit I asked myself this question, and my first reaction was to think your article dealt with it from a racial perspective, although you use the term “non-Europeans” and that confused me.Yet the more I thought of it, the more I came to realize that the picture is bigger than we think and it does not only affect black people. It’s not even limited to the United States. I agree that European white supremacy is a business, but is it, ultimately, about color? And who in Europe is the creator of Eurocentrism?I don’t know how much it is known here about the part of the world where I am from – I was born in southern Romania, which is part of the Balkan region.(See http://eurodialogue.org/balkan-countries-map)Allow me to introduce you to the Balkans, home of violent history, wars, slavery and ethnic cleansings, foreign domination, and what not. Actually, my people don’t even remember to be “free,” perhaps with few short-lived exceptions. Starting with the rise of the Ottoman Empire in 13th century, Ottomans came by, filled their harems with our women, took male kids (it was called “the blood tax”) raised them by their law and make them Janissaries (soldiers) in the Ottoman army, only to send them back to attack their homeland..Later on the Ottoman legacy lingered, and we rarely had our own rulers; they were foreigners and most of them could not even speak the language, did not know and care about the people they ruled. Hundreds of years and different Masters later, after everyone had sold everyone, here we stand proudly bearing the same slave mentality. I believe that slavery is not (only) physical; it is a mentality, a way of living. Sure in the meantime we, the slaves, also learned how to hate each other. You should read sometime about the prejudices and historical stereotypes in the Balkans. What a fun read that is! Romanians hate Hungarians, Greeks hate Bulgarians, Bulgarians hate Romanians, Bosnians hate Serbs and vice-versa, et cetera but all of them hate Jews and Gypsies and a Hungarian Gypsy will hate the Romanian one and the other way around, see how subtle and refined we are in our hatred? It takes a keen eye to peel off the layers here. We carry the legacy of hatred with out mouths full of Baklava and Sarailie and Sarma, all of them Turkish delicacies we had cooked for our slave owners and finally came to love (great recipes by the way, I will share). There is controversy over the dishes, as everyone claims they’re “theirs.” Now and then a researcher pisses off everyone with his findings, like the linguist who suggested that the root of word “baklava” could be… Mongolian WHAT? The guy might be right because there are records of this ancient dish in China, under the…Mongolian dynasty Yuan. SAY AGAIN?As one who grew up in this explosive perpetual state of slavery, helplessness and ultimately self-hatred, I had struggled to understand the mechanism. These people hating and killing each other so “passionately “ for centuries do not even belong to different racial groups.Dr. Will Moreland a distinguished African American public speaker author and leadership expert told me in a recent interview on the Complex Image of the African American Man that “When we hear about racism many times people think it is about skin color, but the foundational essence of racism is about economics. The root word for racism is race; racism comes in when one group is trying to race another group to economic security.”I think Dr. Moreland makes a great point.Slavery in the Roman Empire wasn’t about race or color, was it? How about Greece? In fact, I heard that in the Roman Empire slaves looked so similar to the free citizens that they were trying to come up with some distinctive signs to set them apart. Apparently, the house slaves with nobility wore plaques around their neck stating what family they belonged to, how many languages they spoke and if they could read and write. This is what my local History teacher told me. The atrocities committed against Jews were not based on the fact that they were that different, but on socio-economics. Gypsies are usually dark-skinned, but some Gypsy tribes are light skinned blondes, and some naturally have blue or green eyes. Yeah, you heard that right. As a matter of fact, if you travel in that area, I challenge you to tell a Romanian apart from a Hungarian, from a Bulgarian, and whoever else you happen to see. How can you tell my genetic make up just by looking at me? How do you know what breed I am? What if I am Gypsy? What if I have Jewish or Turkish blood, how can you tell? See, this is where I go back to Dr.Moreland’s theory. It is about money. Creating and maintaining a “healthy” slave mentality is good business. All you have to do is take one particular population, convince them they are inferior, ghetto them and let the mentality grow inside their heads for a couple of generations. Then they are born convinced they are of a lesser value and they belong in a cage. It works, I have seen it with my own eyes, and hey! I have seen it on animals too, when I was working wildlife. If you have an animal who spent too much time caged you can leave the gate open as many times as you wish, he will not take off, he will stare at the gate with a bland resigned expression, just like some of my Romanian fellows in 1989 when we executed Ceausescu and were “free.” They said, “Oh well, Ceausescu’s regime was not that bad, it gave us some safety.” They wanted their slavery back, because you see, freedom meant responsibility and risk. WHAT?When I heard that crap I started packing, not because I was a coward and I did not want to stay and “build a new country,” but because I was FREE, I was physically free to go wherever I wanted. Freedom is a state of mind, and I was born like that, and I my parents and my teachers enforced that in me. I will never forget how my long life mentor Ms.Segal used to tell me -- and this mind you, in times of great fear and oppression --“Oana, I’ve always felt a free person in a free country. We are free.” Now I see that leaving Romania was good, because a new slavery was ahead. People were not even fully recovered from the nastiness of all those totalitarian regimes and wars, when all the former communist countries got sucked into a new trend: Greater European Union. We had to be accepted into this Europe “thing” at any cost. Whoever was left outside was bad, junk, lesser value. Of course, this would not happen just like that, acceptance was not granted automatically. We had to obey their rules and “behave,” in other words we had to be what I called my puppies when I was doing veterinary healthcare, “good foofoos and fifis.” (foofoos are boys, fifis are girls.) We had to be humble and serve our Western masters well, same subservient attitude that we had been forced to have throughout history, nothing new to me. And for many years we had crawled to their doors begging “Puleeez let me in,” knowing very well that no matter what we did we would always be second hand citizens. It was the same good old competition between slaves, “Who pleases the Master better?” To the Master it was just a matter of numbers, and it was all about …economics. Quentin, most people in the former communist countries hated the “European Union” concept just like the blacks you were writing about who hated to be taken to white schools. They felt this “forced love” came at a price. And they were right, it was the price of Eurocentrism for…non-Europeans. Because Western Europe and Eastern Europe have always been two different worlds, no matter how hard they try to glue them together now.So I moved to the United States, hoping to leave this entire bullshit behind, but surprise! Every place has its own history of hatred and yes, here color is a tool, and yes, being white gives you privileges in some circles, or at least some acceptance. Unless you have an accent like me, and you are an immigrant. I am white until I open my mouth. I had never been aware as of why I was treated so poorly by some white folks, until my friends (some of them black by the way) told me that the moment I opened my mouth I became brown. Think “brown” as in “category” not color. It’s very subtle. I had an epiphany. So this is what it was. I crossed the ocean just to be second hand citizen in another country. And what is happening here is the extension or the legacy of that Euro-centric thinking that I basically ran away from. Silly me! You can’t hide from that. I could not understand this one and for many years. But hey, now I know and this makes me aware. To avoid unpleasant experiences, I stay silent, and pretend to suffer from a mysterious muteness while writing down everything. Sometimes, I am summoned to stay silent, like in my last trip to Nogales, Arizona, when my Mexican/Native American girlfriend who was driving turned to me as we were getting closer to the border and hissed at me, ”You shut up.” I know she meant well and she loves me and she did not want us standing there being searched and questioned for three hours.YES, color makes it easier to discriminate against people here, and yes, I know a lot about the extermination of the Native populations, African Americans and whatever was/is not “white” by their standards. I must tell you one thing that I find to be very interesting. Back in Ceausescu’s schools, especially during the last years of the Cold War we were told about the discrimination against people of color here in the United States and… we did not believe it. We did not buy into that, we thought it was yet another Stalinist lie. You see, we had been fed lies and bullshit so long, we could not believe the truth anymore.Ah, all these populations and how they move around. This blonde blue-eyed lady was telling me the other day how she got a mole on her arm and she went to a specialist and they did all sorts of tests to rule out cancer and guess what? The doctor took her aside and told her that this type of mole is specific only to a certain genetic group and it is frequent in … Mongolians. WHAT? Is there anything on this planet that Mongolians have not touched yet?Quentin, you sure brought up some memories I wanted to bury deep inside and move on. But maybe this happened for a good reason. Some stuff need to be analyzed over and over again, until we finally get it. I bet you if we were to run comprehensive genetic tests, we would be in deep state of shock. We might even not know who we are, that is why I have always thought racism is ridiculous. On a deeper level, I am a citizen of the world. I have amazing friends from all over the place, including Western Europe, Africa and you name it. There are good things about the Western European culture too (such as emancipation of women). It is always dirty politics that mess things up.In the end, it is about humanity. It is about us reaching out to each other and listening to each other, and not about greedy corrupted rulers and governments. After all, this is why we go to school to understand the connections between Here and There, and Everywhere.Your Mongolian (?) friend,Oana© 2012 by Oana For those of us who haven’t read Quentin’s article yet you can find it here: http://www.authorsinfo.com/index.php?option=com_easyblog&view=entry&id=289&Itemid=635Dr. Will Moreland’s interview can be found here: http://www.authorsinfo.com/index.php?option=com_easyblog&view=entry&id=220&Itemid=635

Who's blowing smoke? Do you still support the story?

Where were you on September 11, 2001? Me? I had just came home from a 6 month Counter Drug Operation deployment in Central and South America. Yes, I was in the military...the navy. I was only home for 2 days and in New Orleans with my first wife buying food for my (step)daughter's birthday party. She was born on September 12, by the way. After the last plane crashed in Virginia I received a call from the government saying my leave was canceled and I was being deployed immediately to New York. My wife panicked in front of the Winn Dixie shoppers as they watched the news of the attack on TV. She was very upset that I had to go after being gone for 6 months. I gave her instructions on what to do if any other attacks occur. What scared me was I trained for the same attacks in Cuba earlier that year. At this point I cannot release any details of my involvement because I was forced to sign confidentiality statements on the events and investigations thats involved with 9/11. All I can say on this is my job wasn't about looking for survivors or aiding in the rescue efforts.(Hint) The military ain't for everybody, especially honest people. I was a military police officer. We do more than bring back AWOLs and drunken sailors back to the base. As a matter of fact my first five criminal cases were suicides and suicide is not even a crime. Anyway I wanted to give you a glimpse of why I write what I write. Now Carlos Muhammad of LUV4Self asked a question for his forum pertaining to 9/11 and who maybe responsible. Now here it is 2012 and 99% of the people who commented on his forum believed it was the government. Me? You know I gotta set it straight! At first I was going to agree with them but then I thought about what I know and what I was doing then. Which is why I'm writing this article. First off, how could anyone believe it was the government who did it and STILL support it? That's the most stupi...hypocra...ignora...asini...imbeci...retar...screw it! I can't even get the words out! Yes, I said "still" support it! You better quote me on that. To show and prove I'm correct, how long has the conflicts in West Asia been going on? I don't say Middle East or Persian Gulf, that sounds stupid. That's like Mid South or Upper North, Americans say stuff like that. Maybe that's why they'll support anything that's NOT constructive. This ain't new to Americans. Stuff like this happens every 4 years. You know the federal government bombed the same buildings years earlier. Yes, I said the federal government bombed the same buildings years earlier. Check the facts! When, not if, you know someone is going to kill someone and you supply him with the weapon but he tells you he wants a fake weapon then YOU insist he uses the real weapon YOU gave him...what does that make you? Want to hear something even funnier? You paid him to kill the person! This is the story of Emad Salam. Do your research. Throughout the history of the US, this government concocts events like this to spend your money by creating an enemy within YOU first. Yeah, the government has to create an enemy within you first! Y'all like "Okay, now this nigga is on some serious bullsh*t! Alright Q, you can go back to sleep now. Grown folks are talking." I know, but y'all forgot about the Napoleonic Wars, the British Revolution (War of Independence to the US) and the War of 1812. Those wars are important because the unified support of expansion. You know, say like controlling "oil" and "opium" in someone else's territory for example. But anyway you need an enemy. There's a difference between an enemy and a villain. An enemy is someone or something you oppose. So what's the definition of oppose? Something you actively resist to comply with and or to disapprove of and attempt to prevent. Sounds familiar? C'mon man! Blacks call it "playa hating". Who does Eurocentric Blacks hate more than anybody...themselves. That's a European thing. Now what's the definition of villain? A person or persons capable of a crime or wickedness. Who does that sounds like? Need I say more? As long as you have a social regime that's in the business of manufacturing villains by turning into YOU into your own worst enemy first then that same regime is going to get away with mass murder every time. They call it a smoke screen. Prove me wrong. You can't. So how in the hell could anyone believe this federal government was responsible for 9/11, Pearl Harbor, the Vietnam War, Enduring Freedom, Gulf War, the Korean War, f*ck it! Lets just say all the global conflicts from the 18th to the 20th century alone, but you STILL support its same diplomacy since 1787. Seriously, stop and think for a minute. Think for yourself, stop letting someone else think for you. One thing about DOUBT, there's always truth to it. Now Blacks got an African American president and this man let the most profound mass murders off the hook! Jesse Jackson called him on it but y'all scorned Jesse for it. Jesse (no tie) was part of the Dr. King assassination so he still has credibility issues but this time playa hating was used correctly. What's an even harder slap in the face is this president mentioned in a national address that the last president caused the current situation this country is in. Yet he doesn't want to file criminal charges against anyone for the sake of national security. If I was GW Bush, I'd pull this president's card then tell him "Watch ya mouth. I "took" 8 years. If you want another 4 more, stay in your place." Hey, I keep it 100. G Dub was a no joke. Believe that! Back to my point, if all these politicians blame each other for scandals or outcomes from past terms in office how come they don't file any charges or attempt it. What's the point? This president just blew 750 billion dollars! But during WW2, auto workers became tank builders. You couldn't take 750 billion to build a nation wide public transportation system? Point is this, YOU voted for it. I don't vote, never did and never will. Until you get this government to change entirely, 9/11 and everything behind it is suppose to happen. Just because you elect an intelligent politician doesn't mean you're intelligent. It just mean the tactics they use to convince you are going to be more elaborate. But don't be mad at this regime if you still support it regardless. You ain't fooling anyone but yourselves. Peace.

From Giants to Addicts. Who benefits from the health industry in America?

This is the scariest thing I witnessed since Magic Johnson said he had HIV. What in the hell happened? You know what's even scarier? Magic Johnson is less than a year younger than Michael Clarke Duncan! Now how in the hell a man with a man "made" disease out lives a man who could kick the Incredible Hulk's ass...and he was a vegetarian! The answer is right in front your face. Y'all like, "Oh lawd, this nigga is at it again. Here he go...what now!" Don't be mad, just saying. This comes from Mr. Carlos Muhammad of LUV4Self. He posted this pic with great information that needs to be addressed. Now me! I just pissed y'all off with the straight facts y'all can't handle. You can be mad but I don't lie. Let's get down to business. Michael Clarke Duncan's death shocked the world and a lot of questions are going to come out from this. Now Carlos Muhammad answered those questions but I'm going to place blame. Who benefits from the US health "industry"? Answer: who runs the USDA? The same people who created it. Most of y'all are thinking is this article about racism too? Yes. Eugenics first termed and published in 1883 by Francis Galton, cousin of Charles Darwin. This was introduced to europeans worldwide and europeans in America are no different. It was such a ground breaking concept that a former "confederate" captain and representative introduced and made into "Law" the experimental research and depletion of the same thing that Michael Clarke Duncan and all of "us" have been missing since 1933...minerals. William Hatch (Democrat) was an eugenist. Read the Hatch Act of 1887. This is the government paying for experimental stations on this country's soil. What about 2002 Farm-Bill? Or the Morrill Act of 1890? This is what formed the USDA to what it is today. Name one American bred Afrikan that had anything to do with this or does? You can't! Not even ya' boy Obama. I said this before...grafted people can create and survive off grafted products. Everything you eat in this country is NOT healthy. It never has been. I'll say it again. There isn't anything "produced" in America that is healthy. YES, that is fact. I'll prove it. Tell me what is the definition of FRESH? Not the street term either! Seriously, fresh means no salt. But when you buy foods and see the big ass word FRESH written across a sign you think it's healthy. Fresh does not mean healthy. Salt is healthy. Know your body, you are made from salts. The food you eat is SANITIZED. That's right. If you pick an apple from a tree that's NEW to become ripe naturally. You picked it from the source. Remember, you picked it. If you pick an apple from a bucket or an isle in the produce section, it's CONTAMINATED. Now what is sanitized: altered to make palatable or to make clean. You don't see the word healthy nowhere in that definition. Anything with a USDA Stamp does not make it healthy, it means it's sanitized. This is done by a committee who voted on "their" standards, not yours. This is what I mean by being literate. People of melanin need natural minerals to survive. So why buy supplements that's not of you by you? But guess what? These minerals are in products you can't physically digest. How can gatorade be healthier than the water in your body? Simple, you destroy the content of water and the people of water. You know the Nile Valley Civilization is name after the "river" that populated the world? Remember Romans believed water consumption was a sin. Then the White Plague broke out. Have those ideas changed? What's being destroyed in Afrika, water wells. What's the #1 consumer market in the world, the health industry. Who's health? Your car, computer, skateboard, gym socks, condom, and beer bottle are healthier and stronger than you. Does that make any sense? It only make sense to those who benefit from it. The #1 leading cause for death in American bred Afrikans is Heart Dis-ease, mainly High Blood Pressure. High Blood Pressure is a "CONDITION". It's not hereditary. Meaning, you "train" a person to eat certain foods and live a certain lifestyle. Does any of this sound familiar? Yes it does, you just too embarrassed to admit it. Don't feel left out, my wife is a RN at one of the most so-called prestigious hospitals in the world, she makes me feel dumb. Now let's keep it 100. All the so-called advances in medicine are just that "advances". Europeans are telling you they're killing you in a different wording. Pick up a dictionary! The MisConception of Equality strikes again. Europeans build themselves up and tear you down at the same time and rate. I'm not a racist. Let's make that clear! Crystal Clear! I challenge anyone to prove me wrong. Think of the problems that exist now and who's responsible. Vitamins supplements today only work for those who "created" it. Stop trusting and believing in people who CANNOT create you. That's first nature! Prime example, human milk is good for children directly from their mother for a certain amount of months. That's it. What's the definition of pasteurize in milk? Sanitary! You can't find the word healthy in that definition? But you sure do see a USDA stamp if it's sold here. So what's WHOLE milk or evaporated milk? How about the latest BS..."raw" milk? What the hell is that? Think about it. So what's the definition of healthy? It's a CONDITION! Just like a dis-ease, healthy is anything that maintains a level of nutritional or nourishing value and replenishes itself. Raw fruit and vegetables are perfect examples of healthy foods because they keep well and when they decompose (NOT rot) the remains can create itself after being planted. Those are resources. Can a store bought vitamin tablet do that? What scares me is food with an expiration date on it. If you can put a date on fruits to decompose that's a fruit I ain't eating. Expiration means ending of a "fixed" time. Fixed time?! That sounds creepy. See my point? So now you see how we went from being dwarfs to giants in 300,000 yrs but less than 300 yrs we went from giants to addicts. What does an addict do to his body? He deteriorate himself by the faith of what he eats. Why? Because he's been fooled to believe "whatever" he does is good for him. If earth deteriorates then so does it's "natural" inhabitants. That's a fact. Peace.

Who has the authority to separate?

Who are the real owners of the place we call home? That's a question everyone should be asking in the next presidential election. I think of real common sense questions. Why is this so important? Well this photo was posted on another infamous website and linked to the page with a profile of me on it. What's interesting is this person wrote a caption stating the little girl in this photo was a criminal for being Black. Me, once again I totally disagree. Ruby Bridges would have lived a normal life but since she was forced to be among white kids is where all hell broke lose. This was during the Civil Rights movement. Educated Afrikans of the US today and during the movement agree that the Civil Rights movement was a farce. I'm 36 yrs old, my father told me how all his friends and family hated to be bussed to all white schools. As a matter of fact on my show Open Book, Mr. Antione Elliott age 55 mentions how he fought WHITE people in New York! So my question is who has the authority to separate anybody? How did that entity get the authority to force any separation and how did racism become a factor? Simple, the MisConception of Equality. Y'all like, what is this nigga talking about now! Who done got this nigga started?! See that's general consensus of me and my writings. Well if you ain't thinking it then I ain't doing my job. Now the MisConception of Equality, yes mis-"conception". Conception means understanding. So where's the misunderstanding? I'm not a racist, but like Tupac Shakur I'm a realist. Are all humans the same or equal? And who made that "decision" and why? The picture of Ruby Bridges is proof that there is a "working" misconception of equality. How? Because if we are all the same and equal then what's the point of separation? Right? Let's face it, for integration to work somebody has to determine who's going to benefit from it. Hence Supremacy! Someone is greater than someone else. White Supremacy is a business. And to create an idea that everyone should be like the someone is not a crime but the avenue of promoting it is especially if you are from the most recessive form of humanity. Has integration ever worked? How combined is integrated and how separate is segregated? Well for this planet to become populated as it has, something worked. From what I see, based on the Teachings of the Nile Valley Civilizations, integration and segregation worked for the development of the planet but the main difference was there wasn't any differences in race. Now should skin color or race play a role in determining who has any authority to separate anybody on this planet? Before you answer that, you might want to check the facts on who has been exclusively responsible for the separation of people on this planet the last 300 yrs and why? I'll admit it, Afrikans have been the first to separate themselves and forced others to separate from Afrika 300,000 years ago. In some cases it was for criminality and others left because of melanin deficiency. It's a celebrated Asian tradition because of both. Fraternities practice it all the time, you know "the crossing of the burning sands". Every religion uses it as the genesis story of their religions, why? Because it happened at least once. Fact, somebody kicked somebody out from somewhere to somewhere else. So who "naturally" has the authority to separate? White Supremacists know this answer. It's the people who can go anywhere on this earth and flourish. Guess who that is? Check the facts. Then tell me are we all really equal, so where can me and my skin go you can't? Now you understand the misconception, peace.

A failed system, or is it?

Above is a picture of Frederico Bruno, he is accused of pushing his ex-girlfriend and 3 month old child out of a window three stories high.  He climbs down from the same window, finds a metal bar stool leg and beats her with it as she is lying on top of the 3 month old baby who broke her fall to a concrete ground.  Read that over again.  Take a deep breath.  Now who is the blame for this type of violence?  Before you go any further, let me add this too...the widow also had an air conditioner installed in it.  For real!  Who do you blame for this type of violence?  Violence has such a profound meaning.  It sure can sway any jury.  Oh did I tell you, he sliced up the victim's friend who attempted to call the police.  Yes sir!  He left them all for dead.  Sad ain't it, or is it?  What if I told you crimes like these are good for business?  Business?!
